Biography

Andy Murray is a seasoned marketeer and pioneer in retail marketing. Over his 34-year career, he has led senior teams in large corporations as well as founding a number of start- ups.

Currently, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer of Asda, Murray is responsible for building Asda’s relationship with customers and leading a function that includes Marketing, Corporate & Government Affairs, Customer Insight & Analytics, Community Giving, Asda Foundation, and Pricing Strategy.

Amongst others, he was previously Senior Vice President for Creative and Marketing Operations at Walmart; Founder and CEO of Mercury 11 – a marketing technology agency that helped brands leverage cloud-computing; and Founder of Saatchi & Saatchi X, an agency he started in 1997 and drove to become an international leader. Murray serves on a number of non-profit Boards including as Chairman of the Asda Foundation and Chairman of the Natural Capital Impact Group of Cambridge University.
