Previously Head of Media for Nestlé UK, and currently founder of The Payback Project Following a long career in media agencies, Steve moved to Nestlé UK&I in 2012 where he headed up the marcomms team until he left at the end of 2021. Steve spent a significant amount of time over the last couple of years personally leading Nestlé’s approach to Sustainable and Responsible media, both in the UK and globally. Consequently amongst many initiatives, Nestlé were the first advertiser to use 100% recycled paper and vegetable based inks for their 6-sheet campaigns. Globally Steve lead a workstream which resulted in a best practice guide for all Nestlé markets. As a result of all this pioneering work, Nestlé are recognised as leaders in responsible and sustainable media. Since leaving Nestlé, Steve has followed his passion and established a consultancy, The Payback Project, which works with businesses across the media industry, advising them on how they can be more sustainable and a force for good.
