After graduating from Newcastle University with First Class honours Niaz Samadizadeh started his career in media as an business journalist for European Business News, working on their award winning website. A site that in 1997 was streaming audio and video of the day’s top business stories.
After EBN was taken over by CNBC Niaz moved into television production and first made his mark as the producer of Power Lunch in 2000, coming up with highly successful formats such as Investors’ Clinic and halftime report. In 2000 Niaz could see the potential of the mobile internet and created WAP Wednesdays on Power Lunch to cater for this exciting new development in the digital space. He moved on to become Executive producer for CNBC’s flagship show Squawk Box before promotion to become CNBC’s Head of News.
After 10 years of working in the newsroom Niaz had the opportunity to support the business from a commercial perspective and in 2008 he ran CNBC Creative Solutions. While heading up the department Niaz developed CNBC Creative Solutions into in-house commercial productions & event management agency with an award winning team that created truly collaborative multi-platform campaigns covering high end conceptual and bespoke TV commercials, world class C-suite events, diverse digital solutions and social media. Working with blue chip clients such as Shell, Philips, RBS, BOAML, E&Y, Allianz, Sberbank and Megafon. Achieving an NBC Ovation award for outstanding contributions to the business in his time as Head of Creative Solutions.
After 16 years at CNBC Niaz left to launch Edelman’s paid media business in London, winning a range of big name clients and presiding over Unilever’s first ever global media partnership with Marie Claire.
After a spell utilising his extensive media experience consulting with IMG & SKY Media Niaz joined euronews to launch their creative content marketing unit, Embrace. He now runs a diverse team in multiple locations delivering first class content solutions to the clients of euronews.
