Shanice Mears

Shanice is 27 years old and co-founded The Elephant Room in 2017. She moved to London in 2016 and worked as an intern at Iris worldwide for 10 months. She then built up a mentorship with the CEO Dan Saxby and they left together to create The Elephant Room. Shanice’s core responsibility is building the DNA of talent networks, collaborations and partnerships at The Elephant Room. She has since created Creative Storytellers, a sub brand of The Elephant Room held at places such as Twitter and Redbull. She was named 35 under 35 young woman in business by Management Today in 2019 being the youngest on the list and then went onto be named oystercatchers champion of change for 2020. She has now become a part time lecturer at Kingston University and sits on the board of Advisory for D&AD new blood shift and the Estuary commissions project distributing money across various grassroot projects within south east and Essex. In 2018 she was also asked to sit on the Race disparity advisory board at no.10 Downing street, she did so for a year and a half. To date she has created the guestlist network with over 1500 people and counting and opportunities being shared on a daily basis. Her expertise has allowed her to work with brands such as Compare the market, Uber and Wray and Nephew. From casting talent for global commercials to building cultural strategy she has built a renowned name with her industry for herself.
